Professional Development Webinar Series
SCCAP’s Professional Development Webinar Series provides high-quality training on topics relevant to the mental health and well-being of children, adolescents, and their families. Webinars are designed for psychologists, mental health professionals, trainees, and students and may be attended for continuing education (CE) credit or general professional development. Our programs address the needs of both researchers and practitioners, offering evidence-based knowledge, practical skills, and emerging perspectives to support excellence in clinical practice, research, education, and advocacy.
Continuing Education Goals
SCCAP’s continuing education (CE) programs are designed to advance knowledge and practice in the assessment, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of emotional, developmental, and behavioral concerns in children, adolescents, and their families. Areas of focus include:
- Evidence-based assessment and intervention practices
- Culturally and ethnically responsive clinical care
- Child and adolescent psychopathology and development
- Research design and data analytic skills
- Innovative approaches to assessment, intervention, and service delivery
Conflict of Interest and Webinar Concerns
As an APA-approved sponsor of continuing education, SCCAP is committed to identifying and addressing potential conflicts of interest in the planning, promotion, delivery, and evaluation of CE activities. Participants with concerns regarding a webinar or potential conflicts of interest should follow the procedures outlined in the SCCAP Webinar Concerns Document.

- Webinar transcripts are available approximately one week after the event
- Presentation slides are available upon request and should be requested in advance

Live Webinar Registration and Library
The SCCAP Professional Development Committee strives to offer continuing education (CE) programs that are relevant to professionals working with children, adolescents, and their families. However, participants are responsible for determining whether a specific course meets the licensure and continuing education requirements of their state or licensing board.

Please note that SCCAP is not an approved continuing education provider in New York State. Continuing education credits offered through the Clinical Practice Institute are provided by CE-Learning, an organization approved by New York State and other licensing entities.
