Purpose:

  • Provide a platform for clinicians specializing in ASD to come together to share information.
  • Provide a community for those who want to learn more or are emerging clinicians.

Goals:

  • Promote evidence-based practices in assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for autistic individuals with various support needs.
  • Foster professional development through continuing education opportunities, case consultation, and a journal club.
  • Develop and promote best practices guidelines for diagnosing, treating, and working with autistic youth, collaborating with other divisions as necessary.

Focus Areas:

  • ASD and differential diagnostic assessment techniques.
  • Co-occurring mental health conditions and their treatment in autistic individuals.
  • Ethical issues in autism-related psychological practice.
